This rare flag from our collection represents a checkers game board, which is a reference to the ability to outwit rivals. 
 
It also refers to the proverb: “We can defeat our enemies at checkers a thousand times a day”, signaling the company’s strategic war capabilities. 
 
Representations of the checker design are commonly embodied in Asafo iconography such as the Mankessim posuban with the inscription:  ''COME AND TRY WHOEVER WILL''
